The Dance Enthusiasts

As a dance collective, we work in the fields of dance education and community. We mainly work project-based, with funding to research the possibilities of improvised movement within communities and collectives. Also part of our work is to organise regular dance classes in improvisation as well as dance jams with live music by local musicians.

We stand for inclusivity and transparency towards our participants, creating an open learning environment where both beginners and experienced dance enthusiasts can share their passion for dance.

The collective was formed in 2021 and is run by five foreign artists living in Iceland: Janosch Bela Kratz, Linde Hanna Rongen, Magdalena Tworek, Meeri Mäkinen and Yelena Arakelow. We occasionally work with an extended circle of dance facilitators to ensure diversity in teaching.
